Adam studied Classics at Oxford University before joining Criterion Auctioneers in Islington as a porter, from which point his career in the antiques industry began. He worked his way up to the position of Auctioneer, followed by a period at Chiswick Auctions and then on to the rest of the world when he became an Auctioneer on a cruise liner. In 1998 Adam moved to Cheshire, joining Marshall’s in Knutsford, where he worked for the next decade as a Senior Valuer and Auctioneer. It was during this time that he became a regular fixture on television programmes such as Flog It!, Bargain Hunt, Dickinson’s Real Deal and Cash in the Attic, several of which he still appears on today, and is widely recognised as one of the country’s top antiques experts.

In 2008 he started Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers, which has quickly become the top independent auction house in the North West. Born to professional musicians, Adam has always had a passion for music, playing the violin and piano, and is an expert in a wide range of musical instruments from the 17th century up to the modern day. As well as this, he specialises in silver, ceramics and furniture. He makes frequent visits to London, as well as carrying out valuations across the country.
