Postage & shipping

We understand that it is not always possible to be at the sale or to collect your winning lots in person, therefore Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers offer a postal service (excluding Devon). We are not professional packers or shippers but we will endeavour to pack your item as carefully and as responsibly as possible to ensure that your parcel makes a safe onward journey. We begin shipping items out seven days after the auction. If you do wish to receive them sooner, you are welcome to contact a courier.

What is our postage process?

Once you have paid your invoice, you will be sent a confirmation of payment email which includes instructions for requesting a postage quote. We will then pass the information to our postage team who will get back to you with the cost of posting the lots, or recommend another shipper if we cannot send the items.

When the invoice including postage has been paid in full, your paperwork will be sent to our postage team who will pack the lot(s) and book the parcel in with DHL/Royal Mail. We will then email you a tracking number and the website address for the relevant courier so that you can track your shipment. We begin shipping parcels 7 days after the auction. 

Please note: Adam Partridge Ltd will not be responsible for any damage to items while in transit. For more information or to check if your lot qualifies for in-house postage please contact a member of staff.

We are unable to package or post clocks or barometers using our in-house postage as we cannot professionally secure the movement whilst it is in transit. We are also unable to post guns due to strict legislation on sending firearms. Check individual requirements for posting weapons.

Please note: if you have bid via www.the-saleroom.com, owing to increased security measures, we will only dispatch parcels to the registered cardholders address. Any requests for parcels to be sent to an alternative address are at the discretion Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers.

Items are sent a minimum of a week following the sale and cannot be guaranteed for a specific date.

If we cannot post your lot owing to excessive size or weight, you are welcome to arrange collection by another carrier.

Postage costs outside of the UK mainland

Please be aware that as the UK has now left the EU, anyone purchasing from outside the UK may be charged customs and VAT duties as their items enter their own country. These duties are set by the government of each country and are outside our control.

Prices are based on size and weight of the package being sent.  For a quote, please send the full postal address to the relevant branch. Prices will include packaging costs and postage, both with VAT at 20%.

What happens if we cannot post the lots to you?

If we cannot post your lot owing to excessive size or weight, you are welcome to arrange collection by another carrier. We have a list of recommended carriers that we use on a regular basis and you can find them on our transport page.

Transferring between branches

We are pleased to offer a free shuttle service for purchases between our Cheshire, London and Liverpool Salerooms. 

 

Please note that this service is for small items only and we will complete the shuttle transfer at the earliest possible opportunity available to us.

We are unable to offer this service to/from our Devon Saleroom.
