The catalogue for The Great Exhibition Auction is now online. Britain's Best Auction House - we are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for this award.
THE GREAT EXHIBITION AUCTION 1851 to PRESENT DAY.
The largest single owner collection of exhibition and exposition memorabilia is to go under the hammer on the 11th February in the much anticipated Saturday sale. This is the most important sale of its kind and includes an astonishing array of items collected over a 30 year period. It will undoubtedly attract fervent interest from across the globe, and all lots are to be sold without reserve. Around 1000 lots will consist of over 3000 pieces of crested china, included many extremely rare examples, 10,000 badges and finely cast bronze medals and medallions, over 15,000 fascinating stereo view cards, approaching 10,000 postcards, 2000 pieces of glass, over 3000 tickets, 1000 books, Mauchline ware, Prattware, and much much more. The great exhibition Crystal Palace 1851, Chicago 1893 & 1933, London 1924, Glasgow 1901. 1911 & 1938, New York 1939, St. Louis 1904, Portland 1905, Festival of Britain 1951, Paris 1889, 1900, 1931 &1937, Buffalo 1901, Edinburgh 1886 are just a few of the exhibitions with strong representation in the sale.
