19/08/2013 : Successful Summer Sale
The August sale at Adam Partridge Auctioneers brought in some great results.
Ceramics were the star on day one of the sale with an important documentary 19th century Coalport twin handled vase painted by Thomas Baxter in 1802 making £3,300 (a similar example also dated 1802 can be seen in the V & A Collection Museum). Also a 19th century Martin Brothers stoneware baluster vase and a mushroom lamp fetched £2,400 and another Martin Brothers mushroom lamp reached £1,400.
Furniture was the stand out section on day two with over 300 lots. The most of expensive of these being a 19th century Black Forest carved umbrella/hat stand which made £3,200. Also featured in furniture was a large rosewood oval boardroom table (£1,250) and a stylish rosewood bar on chrome supports (£1,200).
