The Antiques and Fine Art auction which took place on the 23rd and 24th February was another great success with quite a few interesting lots.
The first lot of the day was a First World War Triumph Model H 550cc motorcycle with Sturmey-Archer three speed gearbox and wicker sidecar, formerly owned by racing driver Oliver Langton. The item didnít sell on the day but shortly after to a buyer in the Netherlands for £9,000.
Some other interesting lots were:
The pictured lot which was a rare matched pair of George III partridge wood octagonal urn shaped tea caddies that sold for £1,550
A 17th century style ebonised basket topped twin fusee bracket clock which sold for £2,400
A rare Doulton Lambeth stoneware frog group by George Tinworth called "The Scrimmage" which sold for £2,000
A large George III carved mahogany wine cooler which sold for £1,250
The next auction at the Cheshire Saleroom is an Antiques and Fine Art Sale with Northern and Contemporary Art which will be held on the 19th and 20th April but before that will be the Maritime, Antiques, Collectors Items & General Auction on the 11th April at the Liverpool Saleroom.
