Adam Partridge’s latest two day Antiques and Fine Art auction boasts nearly 2300 lots and includes specialist areas featuring jewellery, wines & spirits & toys.

The jewellery section has many featured lots including several spectacular diamond rings, a wonderful diamond pendant, three tennis bracelets and two incredible gem encrusted suits which would adorn any red carpet event!

Leading the 200 lots of toys is a rare late 19th century French tinplate horse and carriage.  It is presented in immaculate condition and the horse is even covered in real pony skin!  We also have a 1950s Austin pedal car, painstakingly restored at great expense by the vendor in Buxton.  We even have a photograph album showing the detailed restoration from start to finish, including the paintwork, chrome and upholstery.  Alongside single rarities we have a large collection of Hornby trains, Meccano including a very rare boxed set expected to achieve £700-£1000, dolls, teddies and many other items sure to remind us all of our childhoods.

For those looking to treat themselves to a nice drop of wine over the summer, this area is headed by a crate of twelve bottles of Chateau Clerc Milon, which carries a tempting £300-£500 estimate.  Also featured are rare cognacs, whiskies and more wine.

Throughout the sale there are many pieces set to perform well including an unusual collection of printing equipment, a huge collection of Royal Crown Derby paperweights, Tiffany Studios bronze candlesticks, two charming singing bird musical boxes and much more.

Amongst the 2300 lots being offered we cover items from the Far East, North & South America, all over Europe and India, but three local lots will hopefully stay within the area.  There is a spectacular and large oil by the late Congleton artist William Ralph Turner, another oil by Jack Simcock who lived in Mow Cop, and a longcase retailed by Macclesfield’s own Arighi Bianchi back in the Victorian period.  The clock forms part of a very large collection of longcase clocks in the auction.

Lot 1578 - An impressive platinum diamond and solitaire ring, the princess cut stone weighing approx 3.06cts, VS1, G, in four claw setting, ring size M, approx 7.1g accompanied with a full GIA gem report, number 15209989, est. £30,000 - £40,000.

Lot 165 - A rare late 19th century French tinplate horse and carriage, the pony skin covered horse before the painted carriage with rear driver's seat, lamps, spoked wheels and hinged doors enclosing a padded seat, bearing label inscribed 'Au Nain Bleu, Shauviere, Paris', length approx 50cm, est.  £300 - £500.

Lot 387 - Twelve unopened bottles of Chateau Clerc Milon Barron Felippe De Rothschild, Pauillac, 1987, est. £300 - £500.
