Known as “The Antique Finder”, Roger Haynes had an exquisite eye for the unusual, and was hugely respected amongst the antiques trade. The sale represents the contents of his Salem Chapel in Wales as well as items from his cottage in Leek, and covers an eclectic mix of antiques and items of interior design. Over four hundred lots on offer include bronzes, metalware, silver, collectables, furniture, paintings & prints, rugs, 18th & 19th century ceramics & glass and a large range of unusual curios! One of the more unusual items is a child’s funeral bier (coffin stand) which is estimated at £200-£300, and inscribed for H. Goodwin & Son Newcastle, who are still trading as undertakers today!
Condition reports and additional images are available on request but are to be requested no later than 11am on Thursday 20th November 2014. Send requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
