Over four hundred lots include fine porcelain, bronzes, ivories, rhinoceros horn and a very interesting collection of Mongolian, Chinese and Tibetan furniture purchased by a former Shell manager living in Beijing. The highlight is sure to be a fine pair of Guangxu mark and period porcelain bottle vases, on a fine 19th century scroll table. The furniture includes a rare Ming dynasty marble set reading table, and a similar example in elm, without the marble insert. There is also a fine bronze censer from a good collection in Macclesfield, bearing the reign mark of Xuande (like most of them!) but dated to the late 17th/early 18th century. It carries an estimate of £6,000-£8,000.
