London 2012 is over....
Adam Partridge Auctioneers would like to congratulate all medal winners at the London Olympics, especially gymnast Beth Tweddle who managed to finally win bronze in the uneven bars. This was the first time Team GB have won a female gymnastics medal since the team won a bronze at the 1928 Amsterdam games which was also the first time women were allowed to compete in gymnastics. A GB blazer, a painted diploma (awarded to medal winners), and a photograph depicting the team wearing their blazers belonging to Ada Smith, one of the team members, go up for auction on the 16th
and 17th August in the forthcoming Antiques and Fine Art sale.

As well as the fantastic Olympic-related items (est. £300 - £500), there is a good 18ct gold diamond pearl and emerald necklace (est. £4,000 - £6,000), a ladies Art Deco 14ct white gold and diamond cocktail watch (est. £3,000 - £5,000), a good Victorian hallmarked silver oval tray (est. £2,500 - £3,500), a Victorian carved oak extending dining table and chairs (est. £1,500 - £2,000), a large collection of gold and early English silver coins, and a superb collection of 19th century and later silk pictures including some by Grant & Co, T. Stevens, J & J Cash, Neyret Freres, etc.
