19/08/2016 : August Auction

The traditionally quiet August auction bucks the trend with over 1,500 lots across the two days.

The highlight was a large portrait by Dame Laura Knight of Master John Walter Wolseley which reached the fantastic price of £8,000.

Other good results include a fine silver gilt and micromosaic box decorated with a leaping leopard which made £4,800, a leather cased Victorian silver three piece cruet set, each piece in the form of an owl that fetched £3,900, and a large collection of Great Britain stamps which sold for £2,550.

Our next sale is on the 22nd & 23rd September and features Antiques & Fine Art with Sporting, Militaria and Northern Art, and we are consigning items up until 5th September.
