07/07/2015 : Auction of Antiques & Fine Art with Classic & Vintage Vehicles, Automobilia, Silver & Jewellery

July's auction was another successful one with the automobilia section shining.

Top price of the auction was the pictured 1974 Jensen Interceptor III which reached a hammer price of £19,000. A 1991 Jaguar XJS and a 1973 MG Midget also sold with prices of £1,900 and £1,800 respectively. The 300+ lots of furniture also did extremely well with an exhibition qualty Edwardian display cabinet making £5,800 and a lovely Edwardian folding games table making £1,500.

Other good results include a platinum diamond solitaire ring (£4,500), a rare set of Victorian mahogany gentleman club scales (£3,800), a Hermes clemence leather Birkin handbag (£2,650), and a 19th century walnut Black Forest rectangular wall clock (£2,300).

The next sale at the Macclesfield branch is on the 13th & 14th August and includes all of the usual sections as well as a specialist section for stamps & ephemera.
