08/03/2010 : Fine violin estimated to sell for £80,000 - £90,000 in Specialist Musical Instruments Sale 6th May 2010

A fine Italian violin by Joseph Gagliano, Naples 1785. The violin is in remarkable condition and has not been available on the open market for over 50 years. It is also accompanied by a 1962 W.E.Hill & Sons certificate.

14/09/2009 : NEW HOUSE RECORD ; Chinese libation cup brings £27,000

A new house record was achieved on 10th September when a Chinese carved rhinoceros horn libation cup on wooden stand was sold for £27,000, surpassing the previous record of £14,400 for a Wedgwood Fairyland lustre vase sold in March.

14/03/2009 : Antiques Roadshow Discovery sold for £14,400

A rare Wedgwood vase featured on a recent edition of The Antiques Roadshow was sold on 12th March 2009 for a staggering £14,400. The vase stands an impressive 42.5cm in height (almost 17 inches) and is unusually decorated in a variation of the Lahore pattern with moose and giraffes, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones. It was valued by The Antiques Roadshow experts at £6000-8000.
