Final preparations are being made in our new saleroom in Macclesfield where we will have much more space, coffee room, secure lock up, on site storage and plenty of office space.
01/12/2011 : Flog It! to Attend Final Sale at The Chain and Gate Estate
Our final sale in these rooms at the Chain and Gate Estate is now online. Specialist sections of toys trains and dolls to coincide with Christmas. Paul Martin with BBC's Flog It! will be filming here with experts Mark Stacey and Philip Serrell.
30/10/2011 : Chinese Vase brings £60,000 in record auction
A Chinese vase sold for £60,000 on Friday 28th October.
Dating from the Jiaqing period (1796-1820), the vase measured 32cm in height and had been damaged to the rim. It had been disregarded by the owner, whose mother had used it as an ashtray for many years, so was brought along to a valuation day.

17/05/2011 : Sale Report - Voysey drawing brings £33,000
A drawing by renowned Arts & Crafts architect Charles Francis Annesley Voysey was the highlight of another hugely succesful two-day auction held on 12th & 13th May.
The drawing, pictured left, was found by auctioneer Adam Partridge in a Macclesfield house clearance and created a huge amount of pre-sale interest from specialist collectors with the hammer finally coming down at £33,000.

The fake Lowry at the centre of a £1 million art fraud that landed Maurice “Lord Windsor” Taylor in jail has been seized by police and is heading to auction to help pay his victims compensation. Once sold for £330,000, it is now valued at just £5,000-10,000.

03/06/2010 : Joy For Local Man As Tusk Rescued From Skip Sells For £14,500
A rare tusk from a narwhal whale, salvaged from a skip more than twenty years ago, has been sold for a huge £14,500 at Adam Partridge Auctioneers of Congleton, Cheshire.
The owner rescued it at the time, not realising how much it was likely to be worth, simply because he thought it was a shame that such an object should be thrown out.
It had survived in good condition and measured 231.5cm (around 7’7”)

A fine Italian violin by Joseph Gagliano, Naples 1785, lot 1212, was sold for £89,000, a new auction record for a violin by this maker and a new house record for Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers.

A new house record was achieved on 10th September when a Chinese carved rhinoceros horn libation cup on wooden stand was sold for £27,000, surpassing the previous record of £14,400 for a Wedgwood Fairyland lustre vase sold in March.

14/03/2009 : Antiques Roadshow Discovery sold for £14,400
A rare Wedgwood vase featured on a recent edition of The Antiques Roadshow was sold on 12th March 2009 for a staggering £14,400.
The vase stands an impressive 42.5cm in height (almost 17 inches) and is unusually decorated in a variation of the Lahore pattern with moose and giraffes, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones. It was valued by The Antiques Roadshow experts at £6000-8000.
