A late 18th century dagger with rare and unusual blue and gilded tapering blade, decorated to one side with a skull and crossbones above a coffin, the reverse decorated with a ram beside a flag beneath a moon and stars, inscribed 'E Gill', with acorn and oak leaf decorated guard and ring turned ivory handle, complete with leather and brass scabbard, length of blade 45.5cm.

There are stress cracks to the ivory commensurate with age. General tarnishing to the metalwork throughout. The chain is a replacement. Pitting to the blade which can clearly be seen in the images.
