The paper is wavy when viewed closely, a small torn/peeled back area to left (see pic), a number of very small marks/scuffs to paper where surface has been taken off, one area of loss and general wear to frame, picture loose from frame. The paper does not appear to be in contact with the glass. Provenance: Via an art broker directly from the artist.

This and the following five lots are painted by Margaret Harmsworth. She was born in Paris in 1928 to an American mother and British father and lived in both America and Europe before settling in France where she died in 2007. She started painting in New York where she held two exhibitions in 1950 and after moving to Europe she had various exhibitions in Florence, Geneva, Zurich, Amsterdam, Paris and London. In London she exhibited at the Obelisk Gallery, the Redfern Gallery, the Piccadilly Gallery and the Crane Kalman Gallery amongst others.
