Heavy tarnishing and discolouration to the crude guard, general surface scratches to the wooden grip. Some pitting to the blade and the tip of the blade is very slightly misshapen. Leather scabbard intact with frog, although the end section where it meets the guard is replaced, quote heavy wear to the leather throughout.

Minor surface wear to the brass and some surface pitting. Some pitting to the blade. The leather work on the scabbard has been crudely stitched and could probably be modern but with the original mounts. Scabbard is inscribed 'Salter, Sword Cutler to H.R.H. The Duke of Sussex, London'.
