Some tarnishing to the guard, pitting to the blade which is disguising the decoration and with a few nicks. Indistinctly inscribed '?? Volunteers' to the blade.

Heavy wear and old repairs to the grip, some wirework missing, some filler has been used in the past. Heavy wear to the metalwork and pitting to the blade with a few small nicks to the blade edge. The end of the scabbard also has had a repair and with heavy pitting throughout.

Condition Report

The grip is wrapped with wire, there is a repair half way up the blade, it has been welded together so is excessively fleixble, the shims has been replaced, the wooden hand grip replaced, there is loss to the paint work on the hilt. PLEASE NOTE: we are unable to post this lot using our own in-house packing and postal service. Please arrange your own packing/courier service. Please note this sword is a amateur scratch built example with a home made blade, grip and possibly using an earlier guard.

Splits in the wood and some of the grip missing towards to the pommel section, same towards the lower section. One of the framework bars is broken and would require attention. Slightly misshaped elsewhere. Heavy pitting to the shell and heavy pitting to the blade with a few nicks to the blade edge.
