R., accompanied by his Soldier's Small Book containing his third class certificate of education issued by the 1st Battalion of the Cheshire Regiment on 10th November 1905, and a hand written note referring to Pte Edwards' service with the Regimental Signalers by the Acting Lieutenant of the 2nd Battalion of the Cheshire Regiment and dated 17th December 1912 on official paper with Jubbulpore letterhead.
