This is the final issue of these highly sought after pre-war Motor Show volumes because the 1939 Motor Show was cancelled due to the commencement of hostilities. Superb illustrations, articles, specifications and descriptions of the car of the late 1930s, 29.5 x 21.5cm, approx 1.8kg.

POWERBOATS-1935; an original and very rare compact brochure from the British Powerboat Company, Hythe, Southampton, England. Thirty numbered pages plus gold and blue textured and embossed card cover, publication no.F.120/44/35. The British Powerboat Company was a famous and highly regarded boat builder having supplied watercraft to The British Admiralty, The War Office, The Air Ministry, The Royal Canadian & Australian Air Forces, and a plethora of world wide companies, also to important celebrities of the era such as T.O.M Sopwith, Sir Malcolm Campbell, etc. This amazingly comprehensive brochure includes data for approximately 28 different crafts from the Power 45 Armoured High-Speed craft built for the Chinese Maritime Custom, through to 500H.P high speed craft and down to private runabouts. Some 'power' boats successes are listed including 'Miss Britain I' to 'Miss Britain III' (the fastest single engine boat in the world 1934). Abridged specifications, standard equipment lists, some opinions, etc are listed and the original detachable price list is still in place. There is also an original letter on the company's embossed letterhead dated September 17th 1936 advising a potential client about one of the craft, 14.5 x 12cm.

CORELLI, MARIE; The Devils Motor - a fantasy, illustrated by Arthur Severn R.I. first edition, published by Odder & Stoughton and printed in London by the Edinburgh Press, 1910. Six tipped in colour plates of beautiful and eerie artwork by Arthur Severn. This rare edition was designed and published to display the dark cream heavy stock inner pages all with darkened edges and emitting the smell of motor oil to emphasise the effect of car fumes. Hard bound in board with impressed red, black and gold detailing with two small pen signatures of previous owner in the top left corner of the front three end papers, complete and original this first edition was never issued with a dust jacket.
