LUIGI PASQUALE (1822-1894); a late 19th century Italian burr walnut, ebonised and inlaid side table, the shaped top with metal moulding and centred with a detail inlaid plaque taken from the Andrea Gastaldi (1826-1889) oil painting depicting Pietro Micca lighting the gunpowder, with frieze drawers and twin shaped end supports with gilt metal caps, square sectioned outswept legs and united by a baluster ring turned central stretcher, height 75cm, width 107cm, depth 51.5cm. Luigi Pasquale was the vendor's great, great grandfather and this lot has been in the family since its creation. Featured in 'Storie Di Minusiere Biellesi E Di Cadregat Di Cossila' page 184 and 185 with full details and illustrations relating to it.
